About the Event

Class #8 of the Intergenerational Learning Program where community members can share their skills, knowledge, and hobbies is presented on March 20th.

Have you ever been concerned with your child's, a friend, partner, spouse, or your own mental health?  Do you, or someone you know, battle addiction and wish you knew what resources were available to help?  Are you aware that professionals work within our schools to support and provide information to kids?  Would you like to know what they are learning?

Trisha Drescher, Programs Manager for AHS Mental Health Capacity Building Program and Taneil Zanidean, Health Promotion Facilitator at Alberta Health Services - Addiction and Mental Health, have joined together to give you an inside look at how these issues are handled in school.  They will also provide valuable information on the resources available to anyone in our community who is dealing with addiction or mental health issues.  This program will focus primarily on identifying and distinguishing between the different resources available in our area, and will be followed by an open question and answer period.  This class is FREE and is appropriate for Grade 9 and older to attend.  Hot chocolate and dessert will be provided.

Age:  14+

Max number of participants: unlimited

Price: FREE

*If you, or someone you know has a skill or idea for an upcoming class please email us at dcadirectors@gmail.com.  This program is a wonderful opportunity to bring all ages of our community together, share knowledge, and have fun!
